My Design Journey
London is My Muse
I take thousands of photos—textures worn smooth by time, light shifting through narrow streets, fleeting reflections on glass and metal. These details live in my mind, sometimes for months, until they find their way into my work. My process isn’t rigid; sketches evolve organically, and a shape intended for a ring might become an earring or a pendant as it takes form.
The Art of Wax Carving
Wax carving is at the heart of my approach. There’s something about working with my hands, shaping and refining the piece directly, that brings a design to life in a way that sketches never quite can. It allows me to explore texture, depth, and movement before casting the final piece in silver or gold.
I see this process as a reflection of how I experience London—thousands of intentional interactions carve the city, layer by layer, creating a unique texture and energy. I strive to reflect this in my work, where each design is shaped through subtle refinements, evolving into something truly individual. But even then, a design isn’t finished until it’s been worn, tested, and lived in. Some pieces spend months on my own hands or ears before I know they’re ready to become part of a collection.
From Fleeting Moment
to Finished Piece
Sometimes, inspiration lingers before revealing itself fully. One design began as a fleeting moment—a door handle catching the light, and the people of the city moving through it, their reflections twisting across the pavement. The image stayed with me, surfacing in sketches and prototypes, but something was missing.
Months later, on a night out, I saw that same interplay of light and movement again, and suddenly, it clicked. That moment of recognition led to the final creation of our beloved Flicker earrings—capturing the energy of London in motion.
Jewellery That Becomes Yours
My jewellery is made to be worn, to be part of your life, evolving with you over time. Every piece begins as an idea, a sketch, a fragment of the city—until it finds its place with someone who makes it their own.
