My erJ Story

My journey into jewellery design began with a simple yet powerful
belief: Jewellery should be personal, timeless, and made to be
loved forever. I wanted to create pieces that are effortless to wear,
yet carry deep meaning—jewellery that becomes part of your
everyday life and holds the moments that matter most.

Before launching erJ, I spent nine years running a vegan catering
and street food business. As a vegan for over 15 years, offering
ethical choices has always been at the heart of my business values.
During the pandemic, I found the time to reconnect with my creative
roots and embrace my love of jewellery design. I retrained at the
British Academy of Jewellery in Hatton Garden, and it was here that
I had my ‘aha’ moment—this is where I truly understood the value I
could bring by using recycled metals, responsibly sourced materials,
and thoughtful craftsmanship, all while creating jewellery designed
to be cherished forever.

My Design Process

London is more than just a backdrop—it’s my muse. The way light dances on door handles, the movement of shadows, the texture of old buildings—these fleeting moments inspire every piece I create. My designs are informed by memories, sketches, and the thousands of photos I take, capturing the essence of the city’s ever-changing beauty. Some of my pieces feel like a personal tribute to the city I love and am lucky to call home, a reflection of its energy and spirit. My process is fluid and intuitive, starting with hand sketches that capture the heart of an idea. From there, the designs evolve through the tactile art of wax carving and metalwork. Some pieces take months of careful refinement before they’re ready—each detail perfected, each curve honed—ensuring that every collection carries the love and craftsmanship you deserve.

What’s Next for erJ?

As erJ grows, I’m excited to continue pushing the boundaries of design while staying true to my mission of creating wearable, meaningful jewellery that stands the test of time. I’m always exploring new techniques and developing pieces that reflect movement, energy, and the beauty of everyday moments. With new collections on the horizon and a growing community of people who share my passion for thoughtful, lasting jewellery, the future of erJ is full of possibility.
